WHAT IS COMMUNICATION?
- The process we use to interact with others and seek out information
INVOLVES SENDERS AND RECEIVERS OF INFORMATION
- Senders code information into a message
- Receivers decode the message to obtain the information
INFLUENCED BY EVERYTHING SURROUNDING THE INTERACTION
- Noise is anything that interferes, at any stage, with the communication process
- Noise cannot be completely avoided but can be managed
